Version 1.0 · Effective 21 August 2026 Flex Up, by Circular Stream S.L. — Canary Islands, Spain
FlexCare is the optional service referred to in Section 18 of the Terms and Conditions. It is not an insurance product: Flex Up remains your sole counterparty. Under FlexCare, Flex Up waives part of its own claims — the value compensation that would otherwise be invoiced at the end of your contract under the Wear and Tear Assessment Scale.
1. What FlexCare covers
When damaged equipment is returned, two amounts can arise under the Scale: the repair and the value compensation (the market value impact of the damage or repair history). FlexCare reduces the value compensation:
| No FlexCare | Optimum | Premium | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Value compensation (Scale grid, XS–XL) | You pay 100 % | Flex Up covers 75 % | Flex Up covers 100 % |
| Franchise at XXL (severe damage — set in the Scale, Section 4) | You pay 50 % | You pay 35 % | You pay 25 % |
| Overuse compensation | Not covered | Not covered | Not covered |
| Repair costs | Your responsibility | Your responsibility | Your responsibility |
The franchise percentages are set in the Wear and Tear Assessment Scale (Section 4), which you accept before subscribing; they are reproduced here for convenience.
2. What FlexCare never covers
- Repair costs — always your responsibility (Scale, Section 5).
- Overuse compensation (Scale, Section 6).
- Loss or theft of equipment. All equipment, even partially damaged, must be returned; in case of loss or theft, the Buy Out option applies (Terms, Section 16).
3. Price
FlexCare is priced per item per month, according to the subscription tier of the item — see the Rates, Section 7 (from 3 €/month). The price is calculated automatically during checkout.
4. Lifecycle
- FlexCare can only be added when a product subscription starts. It cannot be added, or upgraded, once the subscription has started.
- You may downgrade or cancel at any time; the change takes effect on future payments — the supplement stops from the next monthly instalment, and coverage applies only where FlexCare is active at the date of the end-of-contract assessment.
- Each item requires its own FlexCare; one plan covers one contract.
5. Our recommendation
If you ride daily or in tough conditions, plan at least one Switch during your subscription (Rates, Section 5). A timely switch keeps your gear fresh and avoids overuse assessment — which FlexCare does not cover.
