Purchase the gear you love at a progressive discount — 30% off after month 6, 40% off after month 12, and up to 50% off after month 18. Your first 6 months of subscription are credited against the buyout price.

STOP IT

Decide to end your subscription by returning the gear. A progressive exit fee applies: €159 (months 6–12), €129 (months 12–18), or €99 (months 18–24). The longer you stay, the less you pay.

CONTINUE

Love the flexibility? Keep riding! Switch to any new series for free after month 6, or continue with your current gear at a reduced monthly fee after month 12. At month 24, you’ll receive an automatic buyout offer at –50% off retail.

What does the subscription include?

Your subscription includes access to a range of products depending on the plan you choose, and the flexibility to switch, renew, buy, or return items.

What does “6 month minimum” mean?

It means you commit to a minimum of 6 months when you first subscribe. After that, you have full flexibility: switch to new gear for free, buy out at progressive discounts, or return with a known exit fee. Your contract runs as an open agreement up to 24 months.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my subscription?

Yes, you can adjust your subscription plan at any time to better suit your needs.

Is there a trial period?

We do not offer a trial period, but our flexible subscription terms allow you to switch products at any time or cancel after the initial 6-month period.

Are there any hidden fees?

All fees are transparent and displayed from day one. Your exit cost is known upfront: progressive dry exit (€159/€129/€99), cross-product switch (€79), or progressive buyout (–30%/–40%/–50%). Check our Prices page for full details

What are FLEXcare options?

FLEXcare plans offers different levels of protection to reduces the value compensation applied when equipment is returned with repair history

Is FLEXcare mandatory?

Protection plan is not mandatory but highly recommended for peace of mind.

What does the FLEXcare cover?

FLEXcare reduces the value compensation applied when equipment is returned with a repair — choose Optimum or Premium to match your riding style.

How do I set up insurance?

You can select your preferred FLEXcare option during the subscription process.

Can I change my FLEXcare plan later?

Yes, you can downgrade or cancel your insurance plan at any time through your customer account. Any changes to the plan will be applied in the following month.

Set up security deposit

What is Swikly and why do I need to use it?

Swikly is our integrated deposit solution partner that helps validate your security deposit without affecting your card limits.

Swikly also acts as a third-party confidence checker, ensuring that contracts and terms of use are properly respected in case of disputes.

In case of missing payments, the subscriber will be contacted initially to regularize the situation.

In cases of non-agreement based on contract and terms of use, Swikly has the responsibility to engage all possible processes to recover the amounts. Such actions will incur additional costs for the subscriber, and possible legal issues.

How does the security deposit work?

The deposit is a hold on your card to ensure the safe return of the equipment.

It’s not an actual charge unless there are amounts and/or penalties that need to be covered unwillingly.

The customer receives a link to comply with this service and the requested deposit amount, with an additional charge of 3€ by SWIKLY.

The deposit needs to be renewed every nine months, and the client will be notified when it is time for renewal. If the client does not comply within 14 days, the deposit will be used, automatically activating the buyout option, and the product will become the property of the client.

Will the deposit impact my credit card limit?

No, Swikly ensures that the deposit does not impact your card limits. Neither charged.

When is the security deposit canceled?

The deposit is released when you return the equipment in good condition at the end of your subscription.

What happens if I cancel my subscription early?

The deposit is released if you cancel after the initial 6-month period and return the equipment in good condition.

Switch / Renew / Buy / Return

How do I switch my equipment?

You can request a switch through your customer account. Just select the new equipment you want and follow the instructions. You can as well contact our hotline for more assistance.

What are the switch fees?

It depends on the type of switch: switching to a new series (same product line) is FREE after month 6, with no annual cap. A cross-product switch (different category) costs €79. If your gear is damaged or lost, the switch fee is reduced to €49.

How do I renew my equipment?

From month 6, you can switch to any new series in the same product line for free — just send back your current gear and a new 6-month lock-in begins. From month 12, if you prefer to keep the same product, your monthly fee drops by €10/month. At month 24, we’ll make you an automatic buyout offer at −50% off retail. Shipping is covered by the client.

How do I buy-out my equipment?

You can activate the buy-out option in your customer account and purchase the equipment at a discounted rate after your initial six month commitment.

During the first six months of the contract, the buy-out option can only be activated on request and only if the equipment has suffered major damage and the customer prefers this option.

How do I return my equipment?

Follow the return instructions in your customer account. Ensure the equipment is in good condition to avoid any penalties.

It’s recommended to keep the package in which you received the equipment for reuse when sending it back, also for sustainability reasons.

Flex up will provide a logistic solution, it is also possible for the client to use an alternative.

All transport cost are upon the client and will be charge in addtional fee .

What happens if I return the equipment damaged?

Upon receipt, the product will be evaluated and compared to its condition when it was sent for the subscription.

The returned product should correspond to its original state plus normal wear expected during the subscription period.

If damages occur and/or excessive use or unsatisfactory repairs, a report will be sent to the client along with a bill detailing the appropriate penalties. The client agrees to and will be charged accordingly.

Switch/Buy/Return

How much does an exchange cost?

The gear exchange itself is of course free of charge! We only charge a delivery fee of XXX € for the return of your old equipment.

How do I place an exchange?

To exchange your gear, all you have to do is in your Flex Up Account register.

As soon as you are logged in, you can select “ Exchange product ” from the dropdown menu under the gear you want to return.
Then just click on “Confirm. Now a new window opens on the right, in which you can select your new gear!

What happens to my old gear?

At Flex Up, we are committed to promoting a circular economy and minimizing waste. If you decide not to purchase the product and choose to send us your old equipment in exchange for a new one, there are several options for its future.

Firstly, your old gear may be reintroduced into our system to continue its lifecycle.
Depending on its condition and age, we may offer it as a Stage 1 or Stage 2 product in our subscription service. This ensures that the equipment continues to be utilized and enjoyed by others, contributing to a more sustainable approach to water sports equipment.

Alternatively, if the equipment is no longer suitable for use, we prioritize recycling.
Many of the materials, especially kites and wings, can be repurposed to create new products.

We collaborate with manufacturers who specialize in recycling materials, ensuring that as much of the equipment as possible is diverted from landfills and given a second life.
